NZ Mountain Biker is now a Quarterly Publication
18th April 2019
First and foremost, we are proud of what we have achieved to date. We couldn’t have done this without your support. We are not just a publication about riding and athletes. We’re a publication about passionate people, the journeys, alluring landscapes and the lifestyle that surrounds the sport. With our roots firmly planted in mountain biking, we create compelling, unique and engaging content. With a strong visual appeal and captivating storytelling, we aim to inspire both mountain bikers and non-mountain bikers.
Through the people and topics we feature, our aim is to inspire and encourage our readers to actively explore their own aspirations. NZ Mountain Biker is comprised of a mix adventure-based articles, behind the scenes features, people pieces and photo-essays. Storytelling i at the heart of what we do and strong narratives playing key to the publication. We believe that the interaction and experience that printed material allows is invaluable.
With this in mind, our title will be moving away from a bi-monthly publication to a premium quarterly publication. This is effective immediately and your next issue will be delivered by 17 June. We want to create a well-designed, tactile object that can slot into your bookcase, sit on the coffee table or be slung into a travel bag. The high-quality journal will have an emphasis on evergreen content, a higher page count and it will be printed on beautiful, quality 100gsm uncoated paper stock by a local printer.
Please note, you will still receive the number of issues you have subscribed for. However, instead of receiving six a year, you will now receive four. For example, a two-year (12 issue) subscription with eight remaining issues, will receive the remaining issues over the next two years.
While print is our key focus, social media and our website play an important role in communicating with our subscriber base. We believe in the power of beautiful content, no matter the platform. So, to thank our readers for their continued support we are launching a new member access only website platform which we will be rolled out over the next few months. Our valued subscribers will become members with free access. As your voice matters during this change over, please take our reader survey via the link and help us deliver the content you want to read about.
